-Stereotype
-UBSC, a news firm in the United States, expresses
its opinion about the supreme court’s decision. It is neutral between allowance
of the supreme court to the wealthy to unfairly influence elections and its
supporting the information to voters.

2:
-Discrimination
- There is a sex- discrimination in the family. The
girl must do all things while the boy goes out and plays games. It is supposed
that the girl is useless and stupid person and only boy can take over the family’s
company. Because of the family’s rejection, she has to get out and have an
independent life. After that, she is very successful thank to her best attempt
and then she has a big house and good career. About the boy, he failed his
business and now lives in a tent. In my opinion, everything is done without
depending on the boy or the girl. After watching the video, we realize that it
shouldn’t be done something that treats unfairly between members of a family,
especially between male and female.

-Discrimination
-Nowadays, in many interviews, employers appreciate
the height factor besides candidates’ experience and qualification. The picture
illustrates clearly about emphasize on the height between interviewees. Just by
reaching the banana hanged in, whoever can grab first is the winner- a new
secretary. It is an alarm bell for employers that considering the physical
appearance seriously will create unfairness in the society and lead to the
high- calibre staff not to have a chance to express their talent.

ReplyDeleteOverall, i'm appreciated your entry because of the variety of types of bias such as stereotype, discrimination...but there are some mistakes according to my personal thoughts
1st item: you did best but you should tell detailedly what the type of discrimination is
2nd item: it's an interesting video that shows sex discrimination. your analysing is good. especially, you add your thinking about this matter. i like it.
3rd item: it would have been greater if you had called right name for discrimination. However, you can make it clear by analysing the examples in that video.

+Secondly, I think the bias in item 1 is not only stereotype. USBC says that it is neutral on subject-the wealth is influent unfairly to elections, but you can see next to the speaker, there are a sum of money-ad revenue

In general, you have done an informative entry. However, I do not really understand the first item. I think it did not show that the supreme court’s decision to unfairly influence elections, in my opinion, it tells us that TV broadcasters influence election. You can see a lot of money around him when he was talking. The rest items are detail and clear as well.
